Very few people have the kind of fortitude and strength it takes to work at a suicide hotline, where day after day, the most desperate, lonely and lost people in our society reach out one last time in an attempt to save their lives.

A new documentary from Australia called Suicide and Me, gives us a glimpse into the world of suicide prevention hotline workers, and the important and crucial job they have in helping to protect and save the lives of some of the most vulnerable.

In this clip, the suicide hotline worker helps talk down a woman who has called in because she is about to hang herself.  The scene is both powerful and moving to watch.
